What was the immediate impact of the Miranda V. Arizona desicion?

What was the immediate impact of the Miranda V. Arizona desicion?|||That people had to be read their rights while in custody prior to being interrogated.|||A lot of criminals were released from jail.|||Your rights were enforced. police couldn't question you without letting you know you could have a lawyer during questioning, and that you didn't have to answer questions without representation.|||Suspects were read their right to remain silent and to be accompanied by an attorney.

Before that ruling officers sometime beat the suspects until they would confess....since they had no rights.
