I know what mindfulness is it is about beign aware but whate are some of the immediate goals then how is that different then the ultimate goals?|||The immediate and ultimate goals of mindfulness are somewhat similar. The idea is to experience the present because that is all we have, the past and the future are mostly a waste of time and a lot of people fritter away their lives worrying about the past and the future. If you can attain mindfulness you may find yourself in a much less stressful world full of vivid images, sounds, tastes, and smells. We lose a lot of this as we get older and learn to ignore the stimuli surrounding us. I guess, to put it in as few words as possible, mindfulness is ultimately about becoming like a child and experiencing life like many of of haven't for years.|||I don't think there IS an ultimate 'goal' to mindfulness. The immediate goal of mindfulness is to pay attention to the purpose in everything you do, no matter how seemingly trivial. It brings about a sense of 'being' rather than 'doing'....to look 'around', rather than 'ahead'. It's amazingly grounding and calming.|||Watch this:
