Tomorrow is my birthday, and my husband and I will be announcing that we are 5 weeks pregnant! We were planning on just our parents and siblings being there. I am really close with a couple cousins and thought about asking them to come as well. However, this will be the first grandchild on either side, so I know it will be a joyous and emotional announcement. Everyday our moms talk about wanting to be grandmas.
Should I keep things small and private with just our immediate families so they can all share in the joy together? Or should I include my cousins as well?
By asking the question, I think I just came to my own answer, but I want your opinion as well!|||I think you should keep it to the immediate family at first. After they get to have their emotional reactions, I'm sure THEY will even want to shout it to everyone.
Congratulations!|||CONGRATULATIONS!
We announced our first pregnancy at a July 4th party with aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. The more the merrier!|||I think the immediate family would be THE BEST - I just have to warn you once you tell them, they will be telling everyone else faster than you can! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!|||It's all about whoever you WANT to be there. If you want everyone there, then invite everyone! There's no rules to this kind of thing. Everybody has their own ideas of how they like to share the news. Do it your way.|||i think that if your close to them then invite them they are still family but really it is up to you|||Include your cloe cousins too i would say. It's a special and joyous occasion. I'd be announcing to the whole world...i mean the people that matter.
