What immediate impact did Alexander's conquests have on the Judeans?

I see some things that happened but they do not seem like immediate consequences to me.|||Per Josephus in his books on the Jews reports that Alexander after conquering Tyre started to march to conquer Jerusalem because he had sent to them a demand that they provide supplies to him during the siege of Tyre and they didn't.

As he neared Jerusalem, the High Priest and the citizens of Jerusalem met him on the road and ask for forgiveness. They then told Alexander that his coming was prophesied in the Old Testament in Daniel. Alexander accepted the Judeans surrender and marched on.

Godspeed.
