What happens mentally and psychologically when an immediate family member?

I'd like to know what happens when an immediate family member passes away. I lost my mom 3 years ago and im 18|||You experience an incredible sense of loss causing grief. Grief is a normal response to profound loss. When you loose a parent, you often feel vulnerable because one of your chief protectors and advisors is gone. Some suffer from depression. Some just feel lost for awhile. When you finally get to the point that you now want to make them proud of you, you move on into life.|||Not sure of your question. Clinically? spiritually?|||Google "symptoms of grief"|||Well im sure after knowing someone that long feelings of sadness, helplessness, missing that person would happen to you. Are you feeling anything?|||It depends on the person, and on the circumstances of the death, and on the exact consequences for the person from the death, and whether they have people in their lives they can share their grief with.

It depends on gazillions of things. There's no ONE set of consequences from the death of a family member.

If you think this has harmed you psychologically, talk to a professional in mental health.
