Do suicide hotlines call 911 on a caller who is in immediate danger of harming themselves ?

And what if the caller is planning on committing suicide but doesn't want any help to be sent, will they respect that ?

And do they put the caller on hold , and tell the caller that they are calling 911 or do they just call without telling, or is it someone else who calls ?

And can 911 track down home adresses and cell phones ?|||Honestly, it depends on the ethos of that specific hotline. But generally, yes they will call 911 if they believe you have hurt, or are about to hurt, yourself or someone else. Many of them will record the phone call, the minute it starts to get a bit ropy as well.

They will usually tell you, in a very sensitive manner, that they have to call 911, and they will not generally put you on hold while they do this. They will normally ask a colleague to make the call, so that you're not left alone.

911 can track down home addresses and cell phones. It's a lot easier on you if you volunteer that information. They'll find it anyway.

I don't want this to put you off calling the suicide hotline, they can be very helpful Just be aware that if you described ways of hurting yourself or someone else, and they believe that you pose a significant risk, they have to take action. It would be irresponsible of them not to.|||Yes, Kate/Madison/Julia/Twinkle twinkle little star, they will. You've never gotten a different answer in the months you've been asking this question.|||Umm from the looks of your question it looks like you're planning on prank calling a suicide line. Find a new hobby so that people who actually need help can get through.|||i think they will send help, they dont want people killing themselves and i think they can track down where you are|||Attempting Suicide is illegal I believe|||why dont you call and find out
